Shane Warne will always be missed in England

If one talks of the Ashes cricket in the last 12 years, one name can't be forgotten & that is Shane Warne.
Starting from the ball that bowled Mike Gatting at Old Trafford in 1993, also drubbed as the ball of the 20th century, Warne has regularly threatened English batsmen & his record speaks of itself.
Of his 169 wickets against England, more than 120 have been on English soil.
When england were at 34/1 at the end of 4th day's play, everybody was expecting Warne to be the destroyer of England in this 5th day Oval pitch. He did grab six wickets in the end, but the Pieterson catch he dropped early in the innings, cost Australia the Ashes. pieterson went on to score 158 runs & Australia did not have enough time to chase for the runs & tie the series 2-2 to retain the Ashes.
Shane Warne will definitely be missed four years on, when England & Australia clash in the next Ashes series in England in the summer of 2009.
During the presentation ceremony today, I could not stop shedding a few tears for the Aussie man of the series.
It has been 18 years since England has not won the Ashes, but today was a defining moment.
