I am a software programmer. sometime in april 2004, I started getting pain in my hands. lasted for an year. I went from doctor to doctor, was referred to physiotherapy with no significant benefit. I also tried alternative medicine in the form of acupressure and acupuncture.
I did derive some benefit however this was only temporary. It always felt that I was 90% cured for a long long time (about 6 months). then I suddenly stumbled across a harvard site which mentioned about mindbody connection.
This was until I read the MindBody Prescription by Dr. John Sarno. I am totally cured just by reading this book. This is a book cure whose basic principle is that the unconsious mind creates pain to distract a persons attention from the tension generated by rage. I hope Sachin Tendulkar reads this and goes through this book once. Its worth about Rs 500, worth peanuts for him. Its not worth spoiling his career just because doctors cant understand and are reluctant to admit that they do not know what the cure is
