Dear dada, Today is the saddest day in the history of Indian cricket.your dropping out from Indian team has hurt and angered tons of your fans like me.I think over intereference of your godfather in your cricketing carrier could be one of the reasons for your downfall.Due to his power, many from the selection committee as well as team manager, coach are scared of saying anything against him,but they might have shown their dislike by dropping you.Think..think..
Thanx to indian selectors, atlast they are thinking of team india .. Gangulys inclusion will hamper in terms of collective effort. He was a great player and he should go out in pride. Thats the end of Ganguly\'s era...
The selecters have acted wisely in keeping Gangu.. out of the team declared for next3 matches.Gangu..'s so called good performance in challenge trophy may be by chance or by fixation or coz he now knows that now he can't work on'jab miley youn to kheti karein kyuon' means if he can get money without performing then why should he.If Gangu..has any self respect left he should say good bye and go respectfully.enough is enough. He has not only been spoilng the team regarding performance but also the discipline.
The move made by the slelctors 2 retain the same side for the next 3 games is very positive. It gives the youngsters in the team a better opportunity to showcase their skills.Dravid will certainly b very happy with the decision & the the team will do well over the next 1 week,i.e the next 3 ODI's. GOODLUCK TEAM INDIA!
I think the selectors have done a great job and shown guts to stand by conviction in a tricky situation. Some of the articles I have been reading are utterly disgusting and these people need to grow up or shut up. Apart from the obvious point of discussion, which I am not gonna comment on, Ajit Agarkar seems to be getting a lot of whipping for no reasons...for a long time! I have gathered stats for last 2 years for our frontline bowlers.
It is not surprising that the selectors would go for the safe line as indicated by Mohinder Amarnath after the 2nd ODI that the winning combination should not be disturbed. If Ganguly would have been selected he would be definitely in the first eleven to play. Mr. Chappel and Mr. Dravid would not have been comfortable especially if Ganguly scored heavily. It is chess game altogether. Ganguly did not participate in the Challenger and that created a BIG SCOPE to the selectors to delete his name.
However, I feel that Sourav will come as Sri Lanka being the second great team in ODI will not allow the sweep for India for long time. If they fight back in the subsequent games there would be crisis as usual in the batting line up. Against the public demand it would not be very easy for the selectors to avoid Ganguly for a long time. He is back in form and we should not forget that Sachin also did not score well against Pakistan's last ODI series and in last Challenger trophy. Dravid, before this series, also did not do well in last eight innings. So, there should be the same yardstick to judge someone's performance. A man with 15000 runs to his credit in top level can't be excluded
It is ecstatic the way the Indians are dominating in the present one-day series. It is viewer's delight to watch Tendulkar hitting those strokes.
But the decision to ignore Ganguly for the next few games goes against logic considering the fact that he is one of the most successful players of India. Not only that he has the most successful run as the captain of the team. In view of his track record, a better treatment is expected to be meted to him. So selectors - dont give Ganguly a raw deal
