Kaif is very much needed along with Tendulkar
by Ashish Srivastava on Oct 24, 2005 03:43 PM

Everything is fine but kaif is needed very much and should be kept for long run rather than just for few matches. Sachin is ofcourse the world's choice but he has to recreate magics to rule and maintin the rhytm.

TEAM INDIA
by laxman vernekar on Oct 16, 2005 08:26 PM

LetTEAMINDIA have a new look batting order.
1.SEHWAG 2.DHOONI 3.KAIF 4.YUVARAJ 5.SACHIN 6.DRAVID 7.RAO 8.IRFAN 9.JP 10.HARBHAJAN 11.SREESANT.
1-4 can go blasting and 5-7 can steady the innings if neccessary. We lose to SRILANKA because of batting failures. A tall score can push opposition to the wall.On indian pitches line and length is more important than pace. Irfan,JP,and SREE are capable of it. They only need to be inspired by the coach and be handled properly by the skipper.
Rao can also be a very useful ODI bowler if given opportunities on long term basis. Dravid should keep faith in him and make Rao believe this too. Let him do more bowling at the nets.
As Greig Chappel rightly felt Sachin should act as mentor and catalyst for the youngsters. He should keep telling them the stories of his heroics. He should be friend, philosopher and guide to them and thus tonnes of source of inspiration to them. This is why he should bat down the order so that he bats if neccessary. Even if he does not score he should make others score on behalf of him. Who knows this TEAMINDIA may go on to win CHAMPIONS TROPHY and then WORLDCUP in 2007 and give Sachin his parting gift.
pl.comment.

Is this the team that we want?
by Ajay Panandikar on Oct 14, 2005 06:48 PM

Great to see some new faces...speciall SreeSanth...was very impressed with his bowling in the Challenger Series...& he is tipped to be the fastest bowler in India at the moment...But I dont understand why Zaheer is left out of the team...he bowled a fine spell in the Finals & also did a wonderful job in Zimbabwe...and also the notable omissions were Kaif, Kumble & Ganguly...I definitely feel that they should get back into the team as soon as they are fit...as for Ganguly I feel that he should return back as the captain as Dravid does not have it in him to lead Team India with due respect to his performance...

Chawla.., a raw deal.
by Satish vakati on Oct 14, 2005 04:16 PM

Chawla the agile leggy spinner must've been picked ahead of Murali kartik, whose performance has always been disappointing on the big stage. We should encourage youngsters of the calibre of Chawla whose googly has been disguised very effectively, he scalped the wkts of Tendulkar, rao and dhoni too.
Cheers

Good selection
by Shekar on Oct 14, 2005 02:55 PM

At last selection commite dessisions are going towards worldcup2007. commite should for give importance to the youngesters who are eagerly waiting for their chance. We should get benifeted by Chappel services. no doubt Dravid is the right captain, we should not give much preference for seniors if they are performing well. and captain should be a player then just to lead the team.
hope we see good days for Indian cricket.

ALL THE BEST FOR DRAVID ,CHAPPEL AND INDIAN TEAM
