While supporting the issue f Dravid as captian of Indian Team, I feel it would spoil the performance of the individual and the team as Dravid is the only consistant performer. Why knowingly put poor dravid the most obliging member of the team on the altar of sacrfice -- becuase all the greats and all those who have played and not played followers of cricket make him for the mistakes of other members/ pres who have now a days made a hobby of creating sensations thru reading between lines of statements made by evry cricketer for their media's popularity. I think we shoud not support such rumour mongering repot and creat unnecessary pressure by reacting violently and throwing blame on any cricketer. I do not thnk such irresponsibility willnever help Indian cricket improve.
i think ganguly is capable of handling captancy pressure well than dravid but his problem is he is not batting well( actually expected alot from him ) so we should try and rectify his batting technique rather than demoralising him by removing him as a captain. Dravid has to become captain india one day as ganguly and sachin both have tasted it.
Enough is enough. If the loss in Sri Lanka could be the criteria for non-selection of Rahul, Ganguly would have been replaced several years back from the captaincy. BCCI and the Selection Committee have not given enough chance and time to Rahul to prove his mettle. Let there be justice and let BCCI recognise the contribution of Rahul to Indian cricket !!! Dr. K. I hope that nobody takes Mr. Dungarpur seriously. Mr. Dungarpur has an outstanding reputation of prematurely ending the cricket careers of two of India's greatest batsmen : Mohinder Amarnath (when he termed the then selectors as a "bunch of jokers") and Dilip Vengsarkar. Everybody knows what Sunil Gavaskar said about this man some time ago : "Rajsingh Dungarpur is nothing without his chair". When will these "wise" men of Indian cricket learn to shut up ?
It seems Dungarpur and a part of the news media is anti Bengalee, anti Kolkata and anti Sourav. To criticize Sourav Ganguly because he is not getting run is acceptable but the language and your criticism of Bengal, Mr. Dungarpur, is not acceptable. I think Chappel is praising every player now just to divide the indian team. Good divide and rule show, Chappel and you talked about divide and rule by Ganguly. Chappel would not be able to rule Indian team if Ganguly continues as captain. With any one else he would be the king. Is there something called racism here ?
