Just sending the ball at 140 kmph---does not make anybody a good bowler----it is good though to see somebody can do it so in India----we hear about these lads very often and then they go into oblivion---take example of munaf patel---where is he now? media was shouting for him quite sometime ago----Like many people in India i also feel that selection in indian cricket is nothing but a joke---somebody should not get chance just because he has done good in match in challenger trophy----his past records should be evaluated too---there are many players who are far better at least their match statics tell that---but unfortunately they do not be picked up for national team, just because they do not click in one or two matches and remain unnoticed forever--sad really sad.

The Challenger series is indeed a good thing to happen to Indian cricket. A host of young and fresh talents have emerged.
VRV Singh is no doubt a very promising talent who needs to guided properly. The BCCI should take up this exercise and provide expert training to these young boys. Fast bowling is not just about pace and they should be groomed in foreign conditions to adapt themselves and perform accordingly,
No cricketer is complete unless he has performed wellin England where the weather changes by the hour. They should also be given adequate exposure on wickets with pace and bounce, like those of Australia, South Africa, West Indies etc.
World Cup 2007 is not that far off as it may seem. Once these youngsters are taken under proper coaching the present lot will get a run for their money and also strive to perform better.
