BCCI slams media on Ganguly
by Dr. K. Mallick on Oct 10, 2005 01:06 PM

The selection process in Indian cricket appears so lopsided, the selection of captain in particular, that the media can not be blamed. Rahul was chosen to lead against Sri Lanka and without giving him enough chance, was replaced by Ganguly to tour Zimbawbe. That was very unfair, since Rahul had played for India with distinction. BCCI need to go for soul searching than blaming media.

Mr.Ganguly ???????
by deepak tripathi on Oct 10, 2005 12:44 AM

Ganguly is a big sham n a manipulator. he is scheming ways 2 survive in the team at any cost.
He is the most indesciplined member of the indian team n must be sacked to be taught a lesson. if he is
the captain, then a leader has to set a good example n with this attitude of his, i think it will bleed over into the rest of the team which will be at the cost of the passions of the nations intense following. with all the spam that has come out in the open(which in no way should have)the mental health of the team to the world cup 2007 is at stake.with a year n a half left i can see the worst world cup performances from this brilliant team.for all this the bcci is the biggest culprit to let it happen. the whole nation can see that ganguly is no more fit to be in the team leave alone - lead, yet mr.dalmiya(who literally rules the BCCI) keeps supporting ganguly with tooth n nail.his contiuous support makes it very obvious of his connections in the deterioration of the brilliant indian team. i may now foster some suspecions that sachin is intentionally staying out of the indian team because of dalmiya n ganguly, therefore dalmiya too must be sacked or face the worst.

Malicious & Fallacious
by Shankar. C.N. on Oct 09, 2005 04:25 AM

Dr. Shetty says "It is Malicious" to report that Ganguly has already decided NOT to PLAY in the Challenger Cup before his visit to the Doctor. Why couldn't he say what the SELECTORS are supposed to do when they meet on the 13th for 'picking' the CAPTAIN?

Since our Prince is due to visit the Doctors ONLY on the 17th for the next check up will the Selectors Exclude him from their choice? The Captain usually is invited to join the Selectors, as per the existing practices, for picking up the other Members of the Team!

Too hard
by danny on Oct 09, 2005 02:31 AM

Had the Lanka series been played in place of the Challenger series, Ganguly would have surely declared himself fit. Fear of failing in the Challenger series and creating a huge public outcry is what he is trying to avoid.Too hard for you Ganguly?

We wish our Team India captain all the very best as he recuperates from the injury. We are confident that the most successful Indian cricket captain will quickly return to continue his glorious streak of victories. The Bengal tiger has a history of never letting us down.
