I am surprised Gavaskar did not include his indian captain in the team as this would have helped to return the favour and include Rohan in the indian team specialliy when he backed ganguly during the recent incident
The outcome of this match and series just goes to show that cricket is a team game!...An all stars team cudnt beat the australians...the mantra here is team spirit n playing as a cohesive unit!...The indian team faces the same problem...everyone is a star!..its tym we throw some non performing 'stars' out of the team..n get some fresh blood!!!
The much hyped world XI that said "The Aussies are vulnerable", seems to be a bunch of stars who are better than the aussies only in terms of camera value. But on the field they look wanting against the aussies.
While the world XI is a pack of famous stars, the australian team is a pack of performers. Auss is a team whose every player performs. Mc Grath or no Mc Grath, it does not make a differece. Though many players in the australian team are excellent, still there is no dependency on any one player. Thats what separates out the best team from a team of best players. Every player takes the responsibility.
Aussies have got the instinct and attitude to win matches. My best regards with the best team in the world.
Can Indian opener learn the lesson from this chap so that india can improve the batting order. If opener gives best start next things go on nicely. Also Ganguly should speak less and act more with bat only or leave the place vacated to some one newcomer to get the chance.
