Of course, it is a mere coincidence.

(1) The two representatives from India scored 6 and 4 runs.
(2) The Indian cricketers are being coached and trained by Greg Chappell and his assistants, Ian Frazer and Charles Krebs.
(3) Chappell, Frazer and Krebs are Australians.
Of course, these three facts are not interrelated in any way. They are mere coincindences.

Cricket is Cricket. But World champs are also World Champs. Not much to say on that. But HOW did Sehwag ever get into this team? All the crap that self-soliciting opinion makers, and analysts say about Sehwags GREAT eye, hand, foot and whatever you have co-ordination is just a lot of baloney, and good he has failed again.Hey all you guys there...you have made your money, now let others make there money too man.Go home. And why am I talking about Sehwag only when everyone else failed too.Because he has been a failure all too often. In One dayers the openers have THE most important role to play. And Sangakarra(right spelling?)did so well.Indians MUST learn from him.And any bets on who will be the WORLD champs over the World XI? A for Australia....W for Worsted sorry World XI.A comes before W so A is going to be the Champ of Champs.

australia too good

The defeat shows that it is not the individual talent that matters in a play, but the team spirit that matters, and that is what the Australians had. Havung been mauled and humiliated by England, what a way to come back and how they have proved ! Even if they lose the other matches , they have shown their fighting spirit and rebound form . This laura's, and the great indian team should understand. Australians have shown the will to fight and they are really toooo good.

Australia versus World XI
by Gautam Siddharth on Oct 05, 2005 06:42 PM

The poor crowd turn-out in Melbourne for the match between Australia and the World XI is proof that such games ought to be held in India. There would have been mile long queues outside Eden Gardens and Wankhede Stadium of people, and would have built up the tempo for the matches apart from the morale and momentum of the cricketers. Cricket is a spectator sport and absence of crowd or their lackadaisical response can affect the performance of players, particularly from the subcontinent. There is no fun in watching a game live either, if the crowds are not there, roaring as the game proceeds. Let's face it, India isn't among the best teams in the world. But as far as crowds are concerned, India is world champion. A match played in India would do more for the game internationally than the one played elsewhere among cricket playing nations. One is disappointed by the lack of crowd support for the Melbourne game. If the Indian cricket administrators pitch for it, commercial considerations can be made into the over-riding factor for holding such matches in India. It will also help India in developing its sporting infrastructure. New cricket stadia along the lines of Mohali are a must.
