Mr. Dalmiya is not as great a compromise-master as this article seems to suggest. To make things a little clearer the BCCI- review comittee was nothing but a useless/worthless exercise as it had no executive powers. To claim it as a compromise is bluffing oneself. This is more like a governmental enquiry commission.
Messrs Shastri, Gavaskar et al could only recommend to executive comittee which (of course Mr. Dalmiya controls it all) would take action.
Both Mr. Dalmiya and his protege (Mr. Ganguly) are a burden to the current Indian cricket. However, given our (indian) records I am pretty sure, Ganguly would be the Captian of India for, say, he is 50 or as long as Dalmiya is in charge of BCCI.
please make him a governor.his talents will be betterutilised and the cricket team will fare better in world cup. if you taking it as a joke, then have a poll in public domain.
what is negotiation, in the first place. If negotiation means give and take, then Dalmia is far from it. He wants his word to be the law, than the law of the land or principles of good conscience. One shining example is his role and a pile of volcanic communication in stalling the cricket match in abu Dhabi. this article seems to have a motive/agenda of painting a goodie goodie of the person. Therefore, it is constructed reality, as the person in the center walked over the aspirations of cricket lovers and nris in abu dhabi, he is an apology for negotiation.
