I definitely feel that the authorities took the easy way out by keeping Saurav and Greg.Who went public first? It was Saurav! He has been an extreme embarassment to Indian Cricket. Imagine Zim is such a weak side that inspite of the heavy problems that India was having they were still able to beat Zim convicingly!any other team besides B/desh India would have lost 2-0.Saurav should be ashamed of painfully labouring and struggling to a highly ordinary 100 against such a pathetic attack.Let me see him do that against Vaas and Murali.Saurav should have the basic ordinary decency to quit on his own rather than being thrown out.Yet again knowing the ugly politics that rule Indian cricket don't be surprised if they throw Greg out and keep a BENGALI has-been as the new "dynamic"coach of Indian cricket. If Dalmiya had his way and could have done so he would have been India's captain and put his blue-eyed boy as his deputy. These people are so shameless that they just don't care if they ruin India's cricket totally! In Indian cricket the following is really true:"MONEY TALKS BULLSHIT WALKS". GREG WILL TAKE INDIAN CRICKET FORWARD IF HE STAYS GANGULY WILL TAKE FURTHER BACKWARD IF HE STAYS!

Before assuming that Greg would definitely make a wonderful coach, check with his past coaching-records. That itself will make your mouth shut (I shall not take the pains trying for it).
I would like to ask you (who gave due honour to this article) if you had ever heard about Blewett before this column appeared.
The problem with viewers and critics of Indian cricket in the present time is that everyone 'understands' the game to the extent that they can write essays on it. Just getting some information (that too selectively chosen) from these all-pervading media and drawing inference from it has become rampant.
I would request them to collect information on their own, scan those information and draw an opinion on their own. They should not allow media people to dictate on their opinion.
Otherwise they should avoid speaking on the subjects on which they really do not have much hold.
Hi Folks!. Its not austrlians supporting their countrymen or Indians supporting their countrymen. Sourav is lucky to get away with many failures ,thanks to the support from Mr.Dalmiya. THE HONEST OPINION IS ,IF SOURAV IS A MAN OF CONSCIENCE HE MUST PERFORM OR QUIT. He is given a a lot many chances than he deserved and would only be fit to be sacked. The same Mr.Dalmiya or the board did not consider the case of Mr Abhijit Kale with the same ardence as for Mr Ganguly.Mr Ganguly's behaviour equates to gross indiscipline in the same vein as Mr. kale who allegedly tried bribing the selectors. Why were the jokers Ms/ Kiran More and Pranad Roy been sacked..give it a break folks
Whoever wherever says something against Sourav is rediff's food for thought. What an intellectual site ! Also, they can prepare nice palatable Sourav-bashing dishes with those junk speeches. Why not take interviews from pateients of mental hospitals too ? You might get better culinary spices there.
( Why don't you dare publish something on Greg's coaching-records ? Because you know that won't support your main objective of Sourav-bashing.)
Being an ex-cricketer myself, I admire the decision taken by the Board. If some player defends their countrymen, It is a pity that Indian players are not allowed to spek to press defending Ganguli. Cricket or no cricket, no body whether it is Flintoff or Bleutt, should be allowed to speak about Ganguli. It is utter idiotic of we Indians accepting such comments and the Board remaining silent about it. Wake up Board, Wake up and say it is our internal matter and if Chappel is not convinced, he should be shown the door and not Ganguli.

India has the best cricket talent in the world. Yet we are now ranked 8th out of 9 teams & must realise that some guys in the team (read our ganguli babu) have got too old to carry on. Let them retire in glory instead of trying to stay on & be kicked out like Kapil Dev was at the end of his career.
