no body understands why Ganguly is a contraversy. the question is country's team and its glory. individuals does not matter. if Ganguly is retired why should the matter be discussed so much. it is only a single player. advise everybody to stop this.Ganguly is not the only issue before BCCI.
Mr Paniker created a platform to discuss issues with out any bias.When the Captain and the Coach made same mistake(making events of dressing room public) why was the Captain penalised.Why not BCCI insisted on proper enquary to go to the depth of the matter and take an appropriate action.Instead they went on soft line and in doing so allowed the part guilty Coach to take an attitude to prevent Ganguly to get in to Indian team. Yes,the Chief selector also instrumental but you can expect spine from a poor performer as Kiran More to be able to stand in front of Chappel but feel proud to be able to talk with him on the same table.Had there been Mr Sunil Gavaskar or Kapil Dev Mr Chappel would have behaved differently.BCCI penalised a person who in Mr Paniker,s word:Contributed immensley to the developme nt of the current team:It was nice of Mr Power to say nice words about Ganguly after taking over and assured not to allow victimisation.He also dispelled the view that he elimineted three selectors from previous team but accepted all the names forwarded by respective Zonal section.It is the speculation of STAR TV to try and creat mistrust within the nation.

Ganguli needed to be expelled from the team - not because he was having disagreements with coach - but because Ganguli had been the worst performer in the team for last 18 months.
Regarding the venomous Calcutta crowd, less said the better.
It is NOT and SHOULD NOT be Ganguly Vs Chappell-Dravid or any such absurdity. No one in his senses can belittle Ganguly's contribution to Indian Cricket over the past 9 years as a cricketer & captain who has courageously held the team together. However, he has also contributed to some creeping idiosyncrisies, favouritism, and rigid stances with regard to team selection and field placements.This led to several defeats during the post-2003 WORLD CUP era( 30 defeats and 22 wins).

As a Bengali I do not like cricketer Sourav Ganguly. During his Tenure he has not given any chance to any Bengali or east zone Cricketer in National Cricket Team except M. Dhoni noticeably, whereas in Azhar time once it was 8 to 9 players from South in the National Cricket Team. He is very poor in politics but emotional. Emotion has no value in selfish world.
Can any one see the record of cheif selector Kiron More as a Cricketer. What was his performance is all konwn to us. I request Mr. More pls kindly see your past and then criticise Ganguly.
