Re: Support from fans

Rahul made on small mistake (I know it is purposely done). he told he got support from indian fans where they palyed. But they din't get any support from our Dada's homecity cricket fans. What a shame on these kolkatans. Just becoz of Saurav, they went against India. This shows that how selfish they are.

You are the best
by Narinder Arora on Nov 30, 2005 07:24 AM

Hats Off to you Sir - I fail to understand why it took the board and selectors who are more of politicians to recognize the right thing. The team led by you is surely going to win the world Cup unless dirty politics creeps in again.

column writers always have problem
by nitin on Nov 30, 2005 12:42 AM

rahul is humble enough to thank everybody.
and you cannot understand its importance. and actually now i see why people say whatever do you will be criticised by media/column writers.
If he had not thanked everybody, somebody will come up and bring up his point - oh you know blah, and blah and pitch creators, BCCI is important too. how can you forget them...and BS
So Deepti dont start your article like this. Bad perception by readers....be responsible in what you write as it is read by masses.

Kudoos to Indian Team
by Madhu on Nov 29, 2005 08:40 PM

Great to see india win in the last game overcoming all the controversies and rationalisms faced at eden gardens.Atleast now all of us being indians should look for a better indian team rather than personal benefits of individual states or anything els.I would congragulate Dravid and Greg for their effort to bring india into no.4 from 6 postion.Hope india would take the first position with same ease. All indians should pray for this.

Dravid taking punga with Calcutta crowd and conspiring
by Sushanta Bala on Nov 29, 2005 05:57 PM

Dravid's behaviour is under scrutiny. He and his coach have already given enough hint that they want to kill Ganguly's career. Look at the role Chappel played (and Dravid too) in the selection meeting for the test squad.

A man who had the debut in the same match with Ganguly and played with and under him for 10+ years, when asked whether he misses Ganguly, at calcutta, replied, 'I am happy with the team given to me'. The calcuttan crowd expected him to say something like this...'We miss him and wish he performs in the domestic circuit to get back a berth in the team'. Fair enough, no? One can understand how he hurted the calcuttans and why he deserved a boo. Its not only Chappel's finger, but Dravid's confrontist attitude towards Ganguly got the crowd against Indian team. Congratulations Dravid! You have started abusing power and made yourself a foe to the people of eastern India. The support you are getting from the team is just from fear. The newer boys are happy that a seat is not taken by Ganguly. Who will not like that?

Then Dravid's remarks at Mumbai against calcutta crowd and citing Gavaskar episode, is again taking a punga with the fans. They will retaliate.
