Whomever wins, should try to improve the level of indian cricket making them professionals not only before the studio cameras but also before the field cameras too. We should congratulate Mr.Pawar for winning, but should not forget the contributions made by Mr.Dalmiya for indian cricket
People like to say like that now politics will control the cricket . I would like to say that where are these people ,when last year Mr Dalmiya played poltics to support his candidate Ranbir singh maheandra. I think only few people know that when india was playing world cup final ,apart from BCCI members only sharad pawar was watching that game . This shows he like cricket ,he like to improve the game. He is very experienced person. No body knows his achivements , i am not admiring him but i like his way performing his duties . I am sure he will improve the indian cricket , and might be we will win the corld cup this time .
Their tyrannical & cheating raj was to come to an end and it have come at a very nice time with the thumping victory of Sh. Pawar.
Indian Cricket finally saw the light of the day & I wish all the Best to the new BCCI Team & Cricket Team to bring more Laurels to the country, of which I am confident under these two TEAMS.
This is significant as well because, now the dirty Indian Politics will play the game of cricket// This is perhaps happens only in India where a total failed good for thing fellow like Dungarpur, will be in power make some decision & probably take indian cricket to the 80's instead of next century// It is our misfortune, that we could not keep a man in the post of secretary of BCCI who has been awarded one of the three best Administrator of games next to Mr. Blatter & Mr. Samaranch// Now all these Congress people will work for BCCI make this organisation aa family property/// may god save indian Cricket

Mr Ghosh, hopefully it will be better than the Dalmia camp (which is equally, if not more, notorious for politicising cricket in India) which changed the meaning of "B" in BCCI...
The article doesnot address its title 'why pawars victory is significant' It only says how pawar won. Next time, please give correct title that represents the text so that users dont waste their time.
Be prepared for 7 maharashtrians out of 11 in the team. I'll be happy if I am wrong. I was checking out the reactions by mumbai public and they all seemed to claim that this means the 'kolkata - dominance' would end and more mumbai players would get a chance. What kolkata-dominance, my dear? And funny they actually pointed towards selection being affected by the poeple in power, something categorically denied by the spokesperson. And does this mean that the world-beating Indian team created so far was all a sham and that it needed more mumbai players.
