Weel done dravid. Its pathetic of the Calcutta crowd. Thwy will never learn. Its understandable to jeer Chappel but how the hell can they jeer Dravid just because Ganguly is not in the team.

If they want Ganguly prob he can stay as a non playing captain. That will suit him best without performing.

absolutely amazing performance
by arpit on Nov 29, 2005 02:10 PM

for days i had been reading the bengalis crap"bring back sourav"..grow up bengalis.his days are over.the extraordinary performance of team india of bouncing back and levelling the series still won't make any difference for u all though..now u all will definitely look for another negative aspect in team india.i dunno what..but do believe all mukerjees,bannerjees..etc.nothing can bring ganguly back in the team not in the one day team at least.and dada retire urself from cricket..u were a good player once but ur days are over sadly(ha ha ha)..indian team has made us proud...good luck for the near future..and hats off for rahul and his team..they look very aggressive, professional and cool headed..a thing which ganguly could never provide..

South African whining
by Vineet on Nov 29, 2005 01:05 PM

Post match, I heard Pollock saying that India are a very good team, especially at home, and Smith saying batting second was easier. Well then, his century in the 4th ODI was made easy batting second. About Pollock's comments, he should perhaps examine his team's record which was broken by India. Of the 20 consecutive ODI wins, 13 came at home, and 7 abroad. Of the 7 wins abroad, 6 came against WI (ranked 8th in ICC one day rankings) and 1 against India.

Bad support from calcutta
by mahesh on Nov 29, 2005 11:35 AM

Indian should support india, not others when each match in a series is important. If india got a support like mumbai crowd , could have won... and got the trophy. u imagine the how difficult it is to concentrate on play when the crowd is gives slogans like that...?
I tell the bengalies to beware of the same when Ganguly come to other part of the country.
We will howl when he bat... wait and see..

Congrat for your innngs, know that you and chappell are scared of grass in the pitch. Hope that in West Indies there will be no grass in the pitch and low bounce like in Mumbai n you will lift the world cup.

Befitting reply to Kolkata
by ron on Nov 29, 2005 09:50 AM

It was a befitting reply to hostile Kolkata public. In Kolkata the team was playing in a hostile soil where the away team was drawing the public support and home team was booed. Ironically, the plan to let India down in Kolkata one dayer was apparently hatched, starting with preparation of a pitch that does not suit the home team and then go on to abusing the team members be it on the field or outside. Can these people call themselves fans of Indian cricket? Is Ganguli more important then the Indian Cricket? You hurl abuses at the coach and the team members in a most uncivilized, barbaric way and when someone points a finger you have erupted. It is universal truth that you reap what you sow.
If such hostility and unruly behavior was not approved by the masses of Kolkata then it should have been condemned by the masses. If Coach Greag Chappell can be condemned for his finger gesture then, such unruly and hostile behavior of the public towards the Team India should also be similarly condemned.

Whats the big deal?
by Anindya on Nov 29, 2005 09:26 AM

Hi Dravid, Go outside India and then say these words. Why do you people get crashed outside? If still you don't improve, you will be wiped out from the WorldCup Quarter Finals. Think like the Australians, who have already started planning for there World Cup Final Match strategy. This Indian team is not quite enough to stand infront Kenya (yes, Kenya) in their ground. What do you cheer for?
