My dear Bengalis, What you people dont understand is that Ganguly "was" a "great" captian. You all say that he has scored a test hundred against Zimbabwe I repeat against "Zimbabwe" one of the most medeocre teams in world cricket. His hundred was one of the most selfish innings I have ever seen. If any player scores a hundred in 268 balls or so against a team like Zimbabwe one can realise the the standard of the player. Let me also remind you all that he was stuck for 97 or 98 for about 2-3 overs... so that explains it all.
I also completely agree with you'll that was the captian when India won a test series abroad, but again that was against whom... yes "Zimbabwe". I mean how many more chances you pathetic people want to give him another chance. Yes he was the person responsible for converting India into an agressive team. But thats the past, damn it! the past! But people please Dravid, Chappell and Co. are perfoming well and they are better off without Sourav. So please let us all forget Sourav who is a good for nothing player and look foward to the future.
Its just a pity. We deposed that a captain who knew what he was doing by backing his players to the hilt. If he wanted somebody, he would go to any length to have him. Now we have a captain who does not know who he wants, "Ill be happy with whoever you choose."
Why cant Ganguly contribute as a player. I know its been a while since he has done that, but I think its time. Dravid has served Indian cricket for so long, unselfishly and he deserves the captaincy. Whether he is a better captain than Ganguly, time will answer that.
But now that Ganguly is in the team, let him contribute as a batsman (the allrounder part is a big joke, I hope).

it is good news for all indians to have a captain who doesnot show his feeling on his face when facing the bouncer or the one directed at the rib like Mr.ganguly does. get real an century against team like zimbawae or bangladesh doesnot even earn a player like vvs lashman a place in the team. yes it does show form if on is scoring century and the two duck in domestic cricket where lakshman has got triple hundreds. Ganguly has to get more runs to gets everyones confidence to get in a new indian team. an bangali is not an excuse to support him.
Its really funny to select Dravid as the captain of Indian Test team.I have been watching Indian cricket for last 35 years but at no point of time I had found such ridiculous decision taken by any of the earlier selection committees.Are they out to completely destroy Indian Cricket now? No logic or explanation will be able to justify this decision.What Indian Cricket will gain by appointing him as test captain?Really it defies all logic.Now Board politics has definitely cripped into even the day to day workings of the board.Had any one with slightest concern for Indian criceket been in the selection committee,he must have preferred Sehwag or Kaif as captain keeping future of Indian Cricket in mind.Oh God when all these non sense actions will stop happening in Indian Cricket and Indian Cricket will get rid of real life "dwarfed"jokers(dwarfed by the underarm criketing ethics personified Greg supported by spineless caucus surrounding him)??

I fancy sometime what really makes BCCI to give Dravid Test captaincy or deny Ganguly the same.Forget about what BCCI says in press about the criteria.We are expert on "lies" in front of press.
Well, we will never know what takes them to make decision on such issue.And when we dont know about it, we understand some politics is being played. After all 'politics ' in our country is all about not letting knowing!!
