Dossier - a revelation!
by Sunil on Nov 16, 2005 09:15 AM

The dossier had some interesting revelations and the most noted one was the performance of Sourav Ganguly against the South Africans.

He has had a fabulous time playing against them at home & away and that he definitely deserved a better deal than he was served.

As pointed by Arjuna Ranatunga, we need to respect our heroes and definitely we don't get replacements or substitutes for people like Sourav.

His record speaks volumes of his performance and not everybody holds such a record either from the past or from the present.

More importantly, if he was seen as a liability by the board or the selectors - he should have been shown the door with the best regard. Afterall he is a Professional who understands the demands of the game and he ought to have been treated in this shameful manner.

I only wish & hope Sourav raises beyond all this and let his performance speak again for him. And more importantly, he has to Open the innings in the shorter form of the game - this is were he excelled.

Wish you all the best Sourav. And there are a lot more like me who wish you the best.

Ganguly's statistical Record against South Africa
by Ram on Nov 16, 2005 05:51 AM

So sad that, ganguly is not selected for south africa also. Almost All the statistical records are showing ganguly only....

1. Captains Record

2. Most Man of the Match awards

3. Record Partnership for each wicket

4. Leading Average

5. Number of Individual Centuries:

GANGULY WE ARE GOING TO MISS YOU......
:) :) :) :) :) :) :)
SO SADDDD.

There is a huge mistake...the compiler has listed India's highest totals as South Africa's and vice-versa...please correct it...

Some facts frm above dossier
by Prashant on Nov 16, 2005 12:23 AM

Looking at the above facts, one thing is clear that as a batsman Ganguly has a better ecord against SA. His batting average of 53.91, with strike rate of 77.74 is greater than tendulkar or the gem of indian people dravid. Moreover dravid and ganguly if compared the formaer has better record against SA, supposed to have a better pace attack than spin. can selctors thjink of getting a person who can still play, n who has got better record against opponents for these matches. Atleast sport bodies worldwide do follow this trend. IF ganguly is not selected then i can say only one thing, Indians are not worthy of having heroes, if they cant respect one.
