After two handsome 0,0 performance in Duleep Tropy final by Ganguly, his ardent supporters, should realize now that his era is over. He is not what he used to be, this is a fact and every great player has to come across such downfall in his or her otherwise eventful career. If, still he and his supporters think that he should be a member of one-day cricket team of India then, he/they should also realize that he is not going to be an asset to the team but a burden. This burden will have to be toed by the team at the cost of one performing young player. When Team India goes out to play, it plays for National pride and Honour not for some petty regional aspirations and representation. Therefore, one should realize that a players current performance is one what matter for selection to the National Team not how he performed in the past and which part of the country he belongs. That, at the current form, Ganguly is going to a burden for the team is obvious from his performance at Duleep trophy final itself. Amrit Guwahati
If he cant score against Duleep trophy sides, how can we expect him to automatically do well against top sides. BCCI should not take him unless he does as exceptionally in domestiv cricket as others who made the cut after him.
