i think that the selectors did the write thing. ganguly's scores in duleep trophy is 117,14 & 0. do you expect the selectors to change a winning team to include a man with such scores.....

The Real Tigers
by Lalit Batra on Nov 13, 2005 06:01 AM

Golden days are back again and the credit goes to the presence of "sugar-free" chappel and the absence of a Tiger.
Now India has plenty of real tigers. India needs an amalgamation of experienced players (like Dravid, Tendulkar, Sehwag etc) and fresh talents, full of energy and enthusiasm (like Dhoni, R P Singh, Pathan etc).
They are the Tigers who can bring the World cup back.

Who is this DADA? Is it cricket or film.
Ganguly was acting too much.Dravid deserves what he
is got now.He had made a major contribution in all wins.Ganguly no more deserves any place in team.
Let chance be given to youngsters.

Let Ganguly take rest.

a gud 1 for ganguly
by Alok on Nov 12, 2005 08:53 PM

this young lot has proved tht india has a lot of raw talent and the dirty BCCI politics cannot rule tht fact out.Ganguly has come of age now and has not delivered since a long time.people say that he is the best captain india has ever got but thn there was a beginnin when he had become captain and then he went on to prove himself but then even the captaincy of rahul dravid and then virender sehwag in this series has been wonderful and they along with greg chappel have put on a very good show and have provided plenty of entertainment throughout the series.Ganguly should not be given a chance in the tests also because his form is not worth wastin a chance to nurture a youngster in any part of the game.the decision of the selectors to keep the same team for the proteas will not only give the players a chance but also it will provide a boost in their confidence which is needed keepin WC2007 in our sight.wht this youngsters have shown throughout the series is a bit of consistency and not gettin carried away by the short lived fame.i wish the indian team all the very best to continue with this performance of theirs and may the day come before WC2007 tht we can defeat Australia.

India retains team for SA series

The selection of indian team retaining the players that beat lanka without change is best decision. The number three slot in batting order is still unfind and presently only Sourabh foot the bill as playing with the same aggression at number three just like opener keep the team at tenterhook. The Greg chapell trying various option to fill the Ganguly gallery purposely to keep the former skipper out is an egoist approach and opener slots and number batsman is still undeceided for the team can bring the team to its nosedive in front of real pace attackers of Australian and South africa.
