India Vs. Srilanks

I am very happy to see the superb performance of indian team after long time. i think the main reason is that the craig chappel, whome given the right way to Indian team, which wrong way three weeks ago, i mean to say that three weeks ago some senior player thought themselves bigger than the team that is the main reason of Indian average performance of last few decade. Coach chappel display the BCCI that no body is bigger than the team.

I admire Ganguly's captaincy but i think he thought himself greater than Indian team.

Today i am happy to see the performance of the Indian team & the opportunity given to the new commer's. I am preety impressed with footwork of Gautam Gambhir at opening slot, which is i never see such attacking batsman who has a fantastic footwork & positive approch, he can hook, pool, cut & play also in 'V'.

I steel think the changes in Indian team purely because of coach Craig Chappel, i am not think Rahul Dravid is as good captain as Ganguly so i think in future Sehwag is the best choise for captaincy.

Thank You,

Please get your facts straight!
by Harit Shah on Nov 11, 2005 04:03 PM

Hi,

I would please request the author of this article to get the facts straight, as you have mentioned that in 2002, when India played West Indies at Baroda, West Indies batted first and got 290 batting first, while the home team (India) almost got to the total. But if you had bothered to do a proper cross-check, then you would have found out that it was India who batted first and made that total and the West Indies chased it successfully. In fact, that was a 7-match one-day series and in the first 6 matches of that series, the team chasing a target won the game, while it was only in the 7th match that the team batting first (West Indies) won, to take the series 4-3.

So please make sure that you get your facts straight before printing them in the public media. This may be a relatively small error, but then the next time, a bigger mistake may be made because of which the company/website's reputation may get adversely impacted. Do consider this seriously.

Harit Shah.
