Sehwag as Captain

The lad from Najafgarh led his team in an emphatic way as new comers (or bowlers) got a chance to display their abilities at the International level of Cricket. But I think Sehwag needs to concentrate more on his batting instead of anything else right now. As an opening batsman, he needs to perform as a batsman for Team India not as a captain. His ODI average as slipped to just 30! I am sure he will be not only an asset, but a profit for the team as well!

Sehwag applauds team for good show

Every dog has his day. So does every player of the Indian cricket team. Each of them is a star player. Stars twinkle. Likewise, the Indian cricket players shine in one match only. Then they are lost in darkness for so many matches. Stars make way for the team-mates to prove their worth. It almost feels like conspiracy to befool us poor cricket lovers.
In such a scenario, why Ganguli is the only one to be left behind? His average in the one-dayers is not so bad even after the so called long duration of poor performance. And his name features in so many record lists also.
Is Dravid going to play in the domestic matches to show that he has recovered from the hamstring injury? Or is there any special set of rules for him! Or is it that the excuse of being rested will be used to shield him from the injury-domestic cricket cycle!
