Dear Arjuna don't you think Srilankans look undefeatable in their home, but they performs miserably outside their country. they never loses in their home and never win outside. all this is going on after your's exit from the side.
My friend has Nikhil has forgotten that even though India has wrapped up the series, there is a test series to be held after the ODI series and even if Srilanka loses the ODI series 4-3, they will have a big psychological advantage. When the opponent is in grip, you need to crush it so that it can never bounce back by gaining psychological advantage.
Without the experiments, probably we would not have discovered Dhoni, Gambhir and others. Carry on experimenting - this is a weak Srilankan side and many more younsters need to be give a second look once the series is in the bag.
We do not know what strategy will be followed for the sixth Match by the Indian Captain and Coach. They may not use the two new boys who have been included at the expense of Yadav & Rao.
Sehwag being the Vice captain may still play this Match. Sachin, Pathan and Harbajan could come in and Yuvraj could be left out so that he understands that he should deliver more consistantly. My guess is Sehwag and Gambhir will open and Sachin will walk in at one drop. Looks as though what ever happens Rahul will score another 50.
Arjuna Ranatunga misses one small point when he says that "india has let the cat out of the bag". India has already won the series. India could've fielded a seven player team and been fine with it. The onus is on Sri Lanka to not keep losing. And to be honest, they made quite a mess of a modest total, and a modest bowling attack, until the last gasp rescue. Not quite fitting for a team ranked No.2 in the world. The Lankans might be playing to salvage some residual pride but for the Indians it is about trying out pretty much everyone on the bench, and rightly so. Wouldn't you rather lose now (when the series, and the cat, is in the bag) but test the newcomers than find out at a crucial moment in the future that none of them are good enough to play?
change this statement "He gets less attention than say a Kevin Pieterson or a Brian Lara only because in the eye of the media, he is less flamboyant" into "He gets less attention than say a Sachin Tendulkar only because in the eye of the media, he is less flamboyant".
