I would definitely like you to comments on where the Sri Lankan cricket is heading towards . Is Attapattu also heading towards what i would call a watery grave . Or will his attitude saves his captaincy . I am sure all of us would like to see an astute captain as Arjuna , cool as a cucumber , wily as a fox and shrewd as a successful businessman . Will we ever see the tigers hunt on the cricket field in next 24 months . The World Cup is just round the corner and this time around we would like the cup back in Asia . The kangaroos are "galloping " like a horse would towards the victory post .Let the murlis and Vaases and the sanaths join in the dhonis and the rahuls and the sachins and sewhags to do their bit as we approach the world cup .

AS you have mentioned in your article that Ganguly will find a place in the team very soon. I don't know what basis you are stating this? There are Kaif and Ghambir in the waiting list and they are our future. We should give them enough opportunities before bring back ganguly in the team. I'm it is not at all required. You can see how we have waisted two precious years of Dhoni behind parthiv patel. All the cricket fans of india expect this should not happen with Kaif and Ghambir.

The Question of redducing the level of Surprises in the Indian Team Tactics OR Resting Sachin comes ONLY after India makes it 4-0 or 4-1, at the worst. Even if Sachin gets out cheaply (will be known by the time this comes in Print) it will 'Steel' the guts of those coming next to Show their Prowess and ensure Victory.
Arjuna Ranatunga's articles have gone a great change since the time he complained of the itinery for the indian tour. In his first article ranatunga was sarcastic about the chances of the indian team to suceed against the no 2 team in the world. He criticised the team selection and thought that the srilankan team and captain were much better. Three games later, he praises the same selection policy and whats more he advocates that srilanka should also adopt it. We expected better from someone who has played the game with distinction at the highest level for many years to be different from the average cricket fan. Its strange what a few victories can do to people's perceptions and what is even more strange is that ranatunga if iam not mistaken is closely associated with the srilankan cricket in his capacity as a board official. At the same time my best wishes for the Indian cricket team. Go for it boys and make us proud.
I hope the powers that be in Indian Cricket take heed to your words of wisdom. Your insight into the game and how it should be played comes from being both an astute student and master of the sport. Dear Mr.Ranatunga, your comments are entirely at variance with those you made just before the series, when Sri Lanka was the favourite. Then, you were intent on India following Lanka's lead in the matter interaction between selectors, coach and ex-cricketers. Now, after a 3-0 reverse, you want Lanka to follow India's example. Funny game this! The fact remains that Sri Lanka is a team with just two quality bowlers and four quality batsman, of which two batsman are out of form. Sri Lanka should shed its over-dependence on 'allrounders' like Chandana, Dilshan, Arnold and Maharoof. These players were almost unplayable in Lanka, but look very ordinary in India, suggesting that they very much depend on home conditions for success. Instead, Lanka should fine tune Dilahara Fernando and Zoysa who are of better quality and who can bring success to Lanka abroad. There is a lesson for India here: 1. Don't feed on home wins, test yourself against teams when playing away. 2. Dont' rely on ICC rankings. Even before this series, it was clear that Sri Lanka's (overrated) No.2 ODI ranking was built upon home wins. Hope India doesn't fall prey to the 'tiger-at-home-paper-tiger-abroad' syndrome.

I have gone through your comments. I'm surprised to see you wants to see Ganguly back who is not even in-form. First of all India is winning now. so do we need a change at all. In form batsmen like kaif and ghambir are waiting for their opportunities in the dressing room. Now if there is any change in the cricket team then kaif and Ghambhir should get enough opportunities before taking ganguly back in the team. Everyone has seen ganguly's ability from the last two years in batting and captaicy. It is beacuse of his captaincy a junk week keeper like parthiv patel got couple of years and we are wasted two glorious years of Dhoni. I'm sure majority of the indian cricket fan in india totally agree with my comments.
before reading this i want to make it very clear that i am not biased. i am pure and hardcore cricket fan.
i want to know that whether sourav can make a comeback into the team. i am keen follower the sport.
i am very surprised no member of the indian team, intially except harbhajan no one stands by him not even rahul dravid, once gangult stands by him and make him comeback into the team, when he was termed only as test player.
what i think greg is dividing the team, and he will make our team only second fiddle to australia, because he is an australian.
i will watch each every match whether ganguly is on the team or not.
