This is extremely ridiculous, By doing this bcci has affronted all cricketers who have been awarded khel ratna for their exploits.Ganguly is the one who has copped all the stick from various sections like media, public for our slump in form, yet ganguly is recommended for khel ratna.. now is it overt that BCCI and jagmohan dalmiya are going out of there way to encourage ganguly and cheer him up. sure ganguly was agreat batsman and captain and doesnt deserve a shabby treatment but dosent deserve khel ratna either!!!
Ganguly for khel ratna ... r u kidding me ... is that award is given for non-performance .. i think it just another case of dalmiya influence .. If ganguly is given khel-ratna award i swear by god i will not see a cricket match in which ganguly playes
Sad to find a person who has been totally out of form and function getting a recommendation for the highest award in sports in India. Really it happens only in India. His confidence, his form, even his place in the team is under questionable and you nominate this person for an award ???!!! Dr Kinner Shah
Khel Ratna is awarded for some stupedous work carried out in the field of sports.How come we Indians have a habit to forget and condone Ganguly's achievement and behaviour in the past season? What has he done as an individual? And in the games we have won, what has been his contribution as an individual or as a captain except for the fact that he was captain at that time! PLEASE high time we hold him accountable too and stop this nonsense. The way he chickened out of the Nagpur Test against Australia resulting in our first series loss is indeed despicable to say the least. Only in India we recommend an award 4 a person who has not performed !!! Just goes to show how much clout he still has in the BCCI hiererachy. Dr Kinner Shah
