Saqlain did not invent the "doosra". It was being bowled even before he was born. E Prasanna used to frequently bowl the one that either straightened or drifted towards the slips. This is why he was such a great bowler. People like Ian Chappell, one of the best players of spin, would testify to being occasionally fooled by Prasanna's doosra!
