He is fit and fine.

Please let sachin to play. I dont why media is making so much about his form. before making critisism all should understand that after what all conditions he is playing(elbow). if india wants to become number 1 then he has to be there in the team. bcz he is a master and mentor for the team. youngsters wants to have him around them. everyone will get a superb confidence only when he is in the team. so he is great and best.
former players are critisizing him only bcz they dont want to see tendulkar's achievements and they are all selfish!. one should understand that india is now in a good position only after tendulkar returned to india team after his big gap.
so please shut ur mouth and see him playing.

by Shiva Kumar on Feb 06, 2006 06:30 PM

Now it's time to realize that Greg Chappell's word are invain as the batting legend showed his real face today with the blistering knock on 100. Great shame to Greg.

SACHIN TENDULKAR
by SUHRIT KUMAR GHOSH on Feb 05, 2006 07:54 PM

Yes,I totally agree with Greg.We Indians are very emotional and therefore we lack killer instinct.Sachin is way past his best and even the commentators prefer to keep silent about his batting. He had the privilege of not changing his batting order when others have changed according to the team's needs.I think Sachin on his own should voluntarily retire gracefully before he is forced to ease out like Sourav.Had he been playing for Australia ,he would have been dropped by now. Also, if you look into the dismissals of Sachin,he hardly looks the player he was.The opponent bowlers also find him as a goat to slaughter and being a fan of Sachin all these years ,I find it humiliating. In order to save himself for the embarrasment on the pitch and also his millions of supporters ,he should quit immediately.

dear greg

its good that you are talking openly your views. that is what is required in a competetious world. Talking things openly and working towards betterment.

Is it only making statements or you are giving the solutions also. How about making a general presentation on subject "attitudes towards the game and scope for improvement" not pointing any player. i hope you are doing this regularly.

hope you will impress the players with your presentation as you impressed the board with your presentation on coaching india.

hope to see amore positive results from you in guiding the players to play to their true potential.

I feel that greg as he is talking openly in the media speak to the players directly as he has spoken to ganguly. may be few players may not like such kinds of advice. but i believe that sachin is not such kind of a person and he always played in the best interests of the team (may be save a few times as he is also a human being). May be sachin should change his attitude a little and improve his pressure handling situations. In this aspect he can take advice from his coach, senior players, team members, team psychologist but not the last. May be he requires the attention of the coach and psychologist.

I feel if sachin can gain that mental strength he can be as devasting as he was before and a nightmare to the bowlers. he can take the examples of steve waugh, sanath jayasurya, Brian Lara. ther's nothing wrong in accepting few things. Acceptance gives you a wider scope for performing well.

Since sachin has been long in this field he should assess what's going wrong with him. since this a competitive world you should always keep thinking for improvement and consistent performance. The same applies to all players in the Indian team and should work towards performing consistently

Yes Greg's right. Its true that sachin served India for a long time and is one of the best batsmen in the world. but a lot of times sachin had failed in pressure matches. this may be because he takes too much pressure on to himself. but we should also accept that many times he has taken away the match from the opponents single handedly. And also one should accept that sachin is not at his prime during the past 2 yrs. his career is marred by injuries and inconsistency in form during the last two yrs.

Sometimes I get a feeling that Sachin is putting himself under pressure to perform how he used to when he is in prime years, play like the present youngsters sehwag and Dhoni. This is only my opinion. Hope sachin is a better judge of himself. Any sport is about mind game. your success depends on the mental strength which you show. and even life is like that. its easy talking and making comments, but very difficult implementing.

We come across challenges everyday in our life. To face them it may required to change our approach towards the problem or take a rest for some time work from the basics. A more consistent performance is desired from sachin and not centuries every match.
