Awesome bowler

Hi

I hope you will be back with bang. You have line and length which is very important in modern day cricket and also try to bowl as much as yorkers. All the best.

Don't compare Balaji with others
by Muralidharan.V on May 22, 2005 04:33 PM

Balaji is not a bowler like mohanty or kuruvilla.Because he got plenty of test wickets than kuruvilla and mohanty. He should bowl yorker and mixed deliveries in oneday matches

Is he really that good
by Avinash on May 19, 2005 06:13 PM

Balaji is a good bowler, hard working with a bhola bhala look to him. But is he is really that good as he is mde out to bem he still is not close to the stumps and not at all side on which means the away going delivery is always just a one that straitens after pitching. He can never really bowl the outswinger. He is an average fielder and slogger with the bat a 1-D player like Nehra. Are these guys really that good with the ball to be ahead of guys like AGarkar who is a brillant fielder and a decent bat. Yes he is expensive but what better are these two guys balaji and nehra and its well known that Agarkar at least gets you wickets. So balaji may give away 3-5 runs less than agarkar in a 10 over spell but he ends up giving them on the field, contributes less with the bat and gets about 1 wicket less in every 2 matches.

Is Balaji really worth it?

Whatever his strength is, he is a hard worker
by A Mohammed Rajabudeen on May 17, 2005 06:20 PM

Balaji i feel needs to be backed. It's not easy to come back from injury. But he did in style. I dont know what his strength. But he is definitely a real hard worker. That too a fast bowler from TN is rare considering the hot conditions here. So he must be made of real hard nerves inside. He deserves more support than what he is getting.

Just an average Bowler
by Mudassir on May 13, 2005 11:21 PM  | Hide replies

Balaji has received excessive hype and praise for his bowling than what he deserves. He is still of the Debasish Mohanty & Abey Kuruvilla class, and has a long way to go.
