When Tendulkar is in why not Ganguly?!!
by A Mohammed Rajabudeen on May 10, 2005 01:15 PM

Hi friends,
I really cant believe this. Out of so many indian players available, Gavaskar has once again shown his soft-corner for Sachin. The whold world knows that Sachin is not in the best of form, like Ganguly. When he can be included why not Ganguly. Leave alone Ganguly what the hell happened to Kaif. Man if Gavaskar ever becomes our Coach i think the team is doomed.

Did Gavaskar forget the MVP of Indian Cricket team.

Hello, Mr. Gavaskar,

You are being unfair to the Indian Team and the Indian Cricket Lovers. Please do not punish the innocent for no fault of theirs, What if they cannot bat well, They can atleast stand well in the stadium and take their shirt off in the fury.

Indeed atleast you will need someone to run to the boundary to grab the ball at the MCG and I am sure we have a right candidate that you have missed.

Oh and ofcourse the toss is the important factor in all games and would you not want a highest toss winning person to be on your team. He has a good record of winning tosses on Melbourne and in Australia. October is going to be spring in Australia, it can be a great vacation for the Maharaja. Please Please listen to the fans and do give him a chance. You will need a toss winning captain on your side to beat Australia.

He has promised me to get a bag full of choclates from Australia. Also there is a recommendation the shorter version of the game is also long and you are really putting a lot of strain on the Indian captain.

Please give Saurav one chance

Its really funny if somebody pick a world XI squad without Rahul Dravid and Brian Lara. They are consistent and big inning players, where as Tendulkar is simply not. So its always good to pick the players performing well, than the players who have a lot of fan following. Just see Football, though Beckham have lot of fans (might be a good player in the past), people simply never vote him as the best, which is happening with Tendulkar in cricket. Everybody know that Tendulkar was a great great commited cricket, but simply u cannot pick him by seeing his records. So everybody have think in that prespective.

I simply believe Rahul is the first player to pick for Testside in any squad, it doesn't matter whether its "All Time Greats XI" r "World XI".

This will be one of the life time contest that every cricket fan would like to witness. It's really tough to decide on playing eleven. My probable list would be as follows (based upon the player perfomances previously in Australia):

3) Vangipurappu Laxman
4) Sachin Tendulkar (Cap)
5) Inzamam-ul-Haq
6) Jacques Kallis
7) Andrew Flintoff
8) Shaun Pollock (V Cap)
9) Anil Kumble                     ;
10)Steve Harmison
11)Mu ttiah Muralitharan
----------------------
ODI Eleven

1) Virender Sehwag
2) Sanath Jayasuriya
3) Jacques Kallis
4) Sachin Tendulkar (captain)
5) Brian Lara (V cap)
6) Andrew Flintoff
7) Mark Boucher (WK)
8) Shaun Pollock
9) Daniel Vettori
10)Shoaib Akhtar
11)Muttiah Muralitharan
