Jaydip Das
Indian Coach
by Jaydip Das on May 11, 2005 06:40 PM

We should go with our resources because they know each and everyone and can communicate well. If we hire coach from outside they cannot communicate well with our players and also our indian coach can understand the people better. In Indian coach I will prefer Amarnath because there is so many reason for this. First Amarnath is a all rounder he can give better from both side batting and bowling and also we don't forget he is the man of the match and man of the series in 1983.Second Patil got a chance 6 years back and he failed totally and also he had some regional problem and also bad image with Sourav Ganguly.

Amarnath as coach
by Sachin Bellubbi on May 09, 2005 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

Look, if you guys (BCCI) are planning to hire M. Amarnath as coach then its better you hire me as coach...I strogly feel & its fact that anybody, anyday would be a better coach than M. Amarnath...who himself was a C rated 3rd class cricketer....even I primary school kid would bat, bowl or field better than so called Jimmy Amarnath.
There can n't be any bigger joke than BCCI hiring "Jimmy" as coach of Indian cricket team.

If you want to preserve the diginity of Indian cricket team whatever is left little bit,pls choose any Aussie coach
Thanks much...

Sandheep is the only man suited for the job
by Srinivasan on May 09, 2005 10:06 AM

Sandheep Patil is the best man available for the job.
Mohinder has no experience as a coach and he doesn't look like a coach.

Even other 2 Aussies don't seems to be fit for the job, as their interest will be only on the salary. Don't expect any commitment from them.

Everyone knows about the proven capabilities of Sandheep as a coach. Even with team like Kenya, he made miracles.

SELECT ONLY SANDHEEP PATIL. AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT OTHER CHAPS.

If the selection committee is not corrupt, then we can expect Sandheep to be the new Indian Coach.

BEST WISHES AND ADVANCE CONGRATS SANDHEEP.

the richest board should not act like a miser
by dogra on May 09, 2005 05:41 AM

We must take lesson from the pakistan cricket board decision of recruiting a world class coach and not bother about money and look at thier performance....
This is what affected the decision when John wright joined the team
We should also consider foreign hi tech people who can use latest technology to help the team unlike thier indian counterparts
take the example of pakistan again bob woolmer in comparison to javed miandad

Give Mohinder Amarnath a chance
by rajesh malhotra on May 08, 2005 07:53 PM

Sir,
Despite having tried a number of Coaches both national and foreign, inconsistency continues to be the bane of the Indian cricket team. Though in all fairness it should be accepted that Mr. John Wright gave his heart out to bring out the best from our no so great team.

While the BCCI is again on the look out for a new coach, it will be worthwhile to give our very own Mohinder Amarnath - "A disciplined player par excellence" a chance.

I am sure his understanding of the game and most importantly the make up of our team, will go a long way in bringing out the best from our overrated players.

To crumble under pressure repeatedly is the whole mark of Team India. Mr.Mohinder Amarnath,a toughy himself can sure reverse this trend. Also it is important that BCCI gives him free rein to mould the team the way he likes it.

The cricket crazy fans of this country have seen Mr. Amarnath deliver under pressure before, I am sure he can deliver even now.

Thanks
Rajesh Malhotra
