Sunny declines India coach offer

What happened to "giving back to the game"? These ex-Cricketers go on and on about giving back but when given the opportunity prefer to sit in the commentary box criticizing others and demanding Indian coaches. These guys are a joke!

Sandeep Patil is my choice
by Raghu on Mar 31, 2005 11:24 PM

I think Sandeep Patil would be the best choice to coach the Indian team. He is a no-nonsense guy who is aggressive, can motivate a team and he is a shrewd thinker. What Indian cricket team needs is someone who can improve their thinking process more than someone who is an extremely accomplished cricketer.

S.Mohan
coach for indian cricket team
by S.Mohan on Mar 31, 2005 11:07 PM

It is unfortunate that sunil gavaskar declined the offer to become coach. There are some more names Dave whatmore,Jhonty Rhodes,Dilip vengsarkar,Robin Singh.
But Robin Singh will be the right choice. Because he knows fitness, 100% giving in the field, batting, bowling, fielding and fighter.

Good because i dont think a player who was so snooty and so individualistic who called his team back because he was given LBW(rightly or wrongly) by an umpire is fit to be coach.

I think somebody like Greg Chappel, Sandip Patil or even Mohinder Amarnath(BCCI please come clean on this and judge him by his ideas and ability to be coach for this).

And please no Anshuman Gaekwad or Madan Lal like coaches this time.

comment on Sunny declines coach\'s offer

John Wright has been extremly successful in his stint as a coach .He has played significant role in shaping and developing the professionalism in the team India.
Sunny has been the legend in cricket. But I feel assignment of the coach requires altogether new set of skills.I am not very sure whether he would manage the affair with authority.
He may aware with his abilities, strenths and weaknesses which would have convinced him to turn down the offer

very nice sunny
by PRAVIN on Mar 31, 2005 10:12 PM

very nice sunny if we compare the performance of sunil and sachin then question does not arise for taking any coaching because there is no coach for those who fix matches by throwing wickets rather sunny should not take the responsibility of the dirty dozen who sell their game to the bookies and brokers

Dear Board Members

Our boys need a psyhcatrist or a psychologist who can boost their and lesser responsibilities when it comes to match winning.
Pls. offload a little burden from their shoulders, they are not capable of, just on the basis of statistics and media hype, you people are overdozing them.

Better search for a good person who can lit the fire in their bellies.

I hope you got it, if not
better leave the chairs on which a lot of hot chair exercise has been done.

give it to the people who can really make good strategies and do something.

wanna hear more.

Hope so its enough.

so guys if u r intelligent enough take it seriously,
otherwise u will see our master blasters will be only good in statistics but not in match winning
