its very disappointing with the Indian Media/Press that no matter what situation may it be they seem to critisize the team. when cricket india plays aggersively you say they shouldn't have done so and if they play defensively again u retort that they shoulnd'nt have done so. so what should cricket india do? should they stop playing cricket????!!!!! accepted that india did not perform in this test but this was the same team that was lauded by the media for the kolkota test. so is there consistency in your judgement????!!!!

Team India performance

So, Chinnaswamy stadium is becoming the hunting ground for the visitors. Will BCCI look into the history before fixing the venues for any series, as any ground may be lucky/unlucky for a particular opponent. Also BCCI should prepare the pitch according to the strength of Team India (which every conutry does - ex. NZ in last series against India)or they will fight for India's defeat (As in Nagpur VS. Australia and India unnecessarily lost the series). If things continue the popularity of cricket is bound to decline and so the earning of BCCI.
For summer cricket, BCCI should make cricket grounds at Darjeeling, Simla, Kodaikanal etc.

Captain ganguly
by T.S.Gopalakrishnan on Mar 29, 2005 08:48 AM

Dear sirs,
i would not blame the Indians for the collapse
in the final day.It has happened to all the best
teams including the Australians. But the captain
and the bowlers are to be fully blamed for their
failure to contain Pakistanis in the 1 st day
and in the fourth day,The captain lost his
imagination and the bowlers were not inspired
and failed to have the killer's instinct. The team
lost because of this attitude and Australians
win because of not having this attitude.I hope
they realise this in and off the field.

Pakistan's memorable win.
by S.K. Deb on Mar 29, 2005 08:13 AM

How can a team win with a captain who is half blind!!
He should get his eye sights and his contact checked.
He should watch how his counterpart single handedly won the match. If you can drop many young bright player for their recent poor performance how this gentleman with all his arrogance gets a place in the team.

Pakistan Win Third Test

A few questions:
1) Would we see the day when India will fight till the last ball is bowled, and believe that the game is not lost till it is really lost?
2) When did Saurav last play a captain's knock? Can he ever be compared with Steve Waugh, Brian Lara, Nasser Hussain, or Ricky Ponting - as captain, as leader, as a player?
3) When will Sachin stand up and be counted when the chips are down really for India, instead of piling on runs for his own record books?
4) Whenever India is pushed into corner, why Sourav's body language shows that he has already lost the game in his mind! (Remember India's last visit to West Indies?)
5) On a scale of ten, if one chalks up the true leadership qualities of a great captain and leader (aka Steve Waugh) how many point will Saurav score?
6) Why do we have so many "holy cows" in the Indian team?

Indian cricket disaster
by Dr.S.K.Ghosh on Mar 29, 2005 05:55 AM

From todays performance, I think the Indian cricket team has proven once again that talent is not everything and attitude is equally important.

Todays game has completely changed my opinion about Sachin as well. He may be the highest run scorer(Indian) in test cricket but even he does not know how to play under pressure. But hats off to Sehwag for playing his natural game.

Ganguly needs a good innings very soon to get his confidence back and the one-dayers may be a good opportunity to do so.

At the end of the day Indian cricket would not improve till the mind set changes no matter how much talent the Indian team has. It is in the attitude that has made the Australians the top team in Cricket today.

Indian defeat is just unbelievable, there is something wrong somewhere, it's not possible. Was the terror of bowlers or something else. ?

III rd Test : Bangalore

The abject surrender !!! The lack of purpose ...the desire to corner glory missing ... A bunch of losers !! ( No its not the same old yarn ...that some sagacious critics always allude to !! )...The fact remains thatb we are , as rightly described , a bunch of CHOKERS !! Its appaling to say the least !!! And much that I would dissapoint the parochial Bongs ....I would rather see a graceful " adsieu to cricket " from the incumbent Captain ...than see him get the boots ......sonner than later !! Saurav ,is NOTHING SHORT OF A DISASTER !!! If is current form is a criteria enough for being a Captain ....( His mental abilities are also being challenged !! ) then I deserve to be the Head of Sanskrit & Pali in the Nalanda University during the time of Ashoka The Great's regime !!!!
