strong wave has to come
by Sreekanth on Mar 23, 2005 03:35 AM

This is very bad on part of ICC, as they don't have an uniform approach in dealing with the players of all countries. Thats true that everything needs a governing body and so is the ICC for world's cricket, but unfortunately they are there just to make sure to demoralize whom ever they feel as threat to the nations that they are biased for. A strong wave should come from the great asian countries in cricket and do something about this to stop the baised nature of ICC.

Fair enough..

We can't say Broad was unfair just because our emotions are deluged with nationalism...

Think with a clear head- it is one thing to bowl in an artificial testing arena knowing fully well that you are being watched/tested. It is a different ballgame to bowl in a tensely poised match situation, where unknowingly one may be striving for something extra and inadvertantly crossing the limits..

Umpires are the best judge of what's going on in the middle and if they thought Bajji needs to be reported, that's it...One cannot use the previous ICC clearing like a School leaving certificate and violate once in a while..

Harbhajan's action reported

Its time Chris Broad's action need to be reported. Why every suspect action reported is coming from Chris Broad and no one else. I think he is on a mission to discredit Asian Bowlers whereas Bret Lee was never ever reported eventhough his action is equally suspect?

Harbhajan's Doosra
by ganeshpnair on Mar 21, 2005 02:43 PM

If ICC can speak about Harbhajan's Doosra, then why why they are closing theier eyes against Afridi's throw. Most of Afridi's wicketing balls are throws only.

ICC'stirade against Harbhajan
by Mridula on Mar 21, 2005 02:16 PM

ICC time and again wants to pull strings on Asian cricketers. This is the same exercise in a different action. I did not have any problems initially but when Asian nations started winning against the others, it raked up. ICC has always trying to be a policeman for Asian nations than other countries. Many players of non Asian playing nation have bad behaviour and suspect bowling action but nothing is being done. Also many of the umpires from that part of the world have also played host to erronous decision. It is time ICC took its time off to inspect these rather than pull strings on Asian countries.

First they should check the eyesite of Bucknor. Secondly they should check, Bret Lee, Aktar who do not bowl rather throw the ball openly. Then they should be checking off spiners.

Most of the former English players are biased against India, be it Chris Broad or Mike Denness. This is not the first instance. Take the case of Balaji being fined for over-appealing. The way the Shane Warnes, Vettoris, Bret Lees and Shaun Pollacks appeal, they virtually terrorise the Umpires to give the decision in their favour and yet they get away with it. But when it comes to Indians, they should not appeal even if there is a 50 - 50 chance. They are supposed to appeal only if the ball is going to hit the stump or when a skier is taken. What double standards the ICC has got and what is it that the BCCI is doing?
