friends, just a year ago, Laxman was termed to be a match winner. but, today he is seen a in a no man's zone. a strange situation, in a short span. Unlike any other Indian he has been under tremendous pressure to save his place in the team. The team and the management may agree or may not but the fact remains a fact, Quite a discriminative policy. well, Laxman has proved many a times that 'he is a big game player and a match winner and further more a consistent performer'. But, it's the role of the captain and ofcourse the team management to support a playler like laxman who thrives being encouraged, backed and motivated. Laxman has been getting his 50s' and sure, it's a matter of ONE BIG INNINGS, to boost his confidence. As Dravid has sealed his place at 3rd down, the other option to work out in the present circumstances is THE CAPTAIN is struggling to perform. Probably, Laxman can come at Ganguly's position and perform. By this strategy, the team reaps two benefits. First, laxman would have adequate time to get a big score (to regain his magical touch) secondly, the psychological pressure of the score board XXX/5 (after departure of ganguly) would show only XXX/4 (if laxman gets in at ganguly) I personally feel, this would not only serves the purpose of the team, but also save a proved performer for India. I hope Karthik's knock is not an one off..I wish him well ahead in the Series and for all the cricket to come...Dravid played a superb innings..I just hope that Ganguly stops giving Guest Apperances!!
Dinesh Karthik deserves a pat in the back...Irfan and Karthik are two great youngsters and will be prominent players in the future..One hopes that Ambati Rayudu, Shikar Dhawan and the others soon come to the party..
A great 93 from KKD Kartik. I think we atlast can match Australia and have a wicket keeper who can bat. Last week one former cricketer had said that wicketkeepers Patel, KKD Kartik etc etc should be rotated. I think its time we should put an end to such immature & visionless talks and try to groom the ONE GOOD GUY - KKD Kartik - we have. Thats how Borders Aussie team was built and look at them now.... They were groomed. Lets do that to KKD Kartik..
