tendulkars decision

Time and again one is forced to wonder with steve bucknor whether it is just another human mistake or another prejudice towards india.

At such a crucial time when players are appealing for bad light and it was pretty obvious bucknor himself is having trouble they should stopped the game , even if they didnt thats not any excuse for sucha horrondous mistakes ,mistakes as this which changes the course of the game.
even with naked eye at first look itself it is pretty clear there is no contact with bat, even if there is any doubt in the mind of umpire its to the favour of batsmen which it should be.
these things make one wonder the calibre of bucknor or it should be his feelings toward s india , which time and again called for many strict decisions and even many wrong decisions which cost india dearly
but whatever it be , this is going to cost india dearly and bucknor is the sole responsible person for this, thumps down for bucknor

You should consider posting a full length article on Steve Bucknor and even consider collecting funds to buy him a guide dog. The man has gone far enough and like minded fans just don't see him as impartial.

Steve Buckoner

In view of what happened yesterday and what has happened in last few years when Steve Buckoner had been umpiring, its high time that ICC looked into the proceedings. Its very obvious that Mr. Buckoner is biased against India, I think umpires also should have a code of conduct. Some of his actions like pointing finger at Parthiv, and giving blatantly bad decissions against India are not even wrong but it puts in jeopardy the fairness and eligibility of so called elite panel of ICC. I think indian cricket board should formally appeal against Mr. Steve (Stupid) Buckoner.

Appeal about umpires
by Abhinav Gaurav on Mar 19, 2005 05:18 AM

Every now and then we hear about biased umpiring in the cricket world. Why don't we do something about it as well. These stupid and biased umpiring decisions by people like Bucker can definately put the morals of great players like Sachin.

I hope ICC will take care of these matters as well and not just concentrate on players. First we hear of Clive then another West Indian like Bucknor.

Pls wake up ICC....

I Blame the ICC & Not Bucknor
by C.N. Shankar on Mar 19, 2005 04:42 AM

Bucknor did not 'punish' Sachin to 'correct' his own Mistake in the Mohali Innings to 'even out' things. In the Mohali Innings what he did may be excused since it could be seen as "Giving the Benefit of Doubt" to the Batsmen. It is not so in the second innings at Kolkota.

ICC is Interested in MONEY making ONLY. They are planning to shift their HQ to A Gulf Country - Tax Savings! They are threatening BCCI on shifting the Venue of the CHAMPIONS Trophy if our Govt. does not give them the Tax Exemptions! We all remember how the same ICC said that Australia's Tour may be cancelled if "LIVE" TV Coverage is NOT provided. If LIVE Coverage is a MUST for replays to decide on 'run outs' & 'clean catches' WHY not use the same coverage to satisfy catches also? During the replay of Tendulkar's out even the audio-graph was an evidence to 'prove' there was no "NICK".

Shameless umpiring
by Saby on Mar 19, 2005 12:36 AM

Umpiring by Steve Bucknor was shocking today. He refused to listen to bad light appeals from two greatest ever batsmen and gentlemen of the game. Then he judged wrong against Tendulkar. I am surprised to see same umpire (Bucknor) making same mistakes against same batsman (Tendulkar) innumerable times. Does it suggest something ? Why ICC should not take a deep look into this particular issue ? We have seen this in Australia tour also. I understand to err is human. But will that be limitless ?

I cannot even imagine how the ICC is allowing this guy to umpire critical test matches. The guy dislikes India, doesn't care about integrity in officiating test matches -- history being the proof.

Can't the BCCI and the press do something about this issue. Surely, no Indian would like to see their country losing test matches in Australia or to Pakistan because of poorest umpiring !

Sachin's getting out
by leo3254 on Mar 18, 2005 10:41 PM

The mistake is getting that disgusting west Indian umpire Bucknor, he is totally anti Indian & is very much against Sachin Tendulkar.

This has been seen in the past too, the only problem is that our commentators like Ravi Shastri just go to support the opposite side all the time & have never even once taken the side of the Indian team while playing or in any wrong decisions given by umpires.

Umpire Bucknor should be denied visa on the grounds of incompetancy and biasim. He did in Australia against Dravid and now against Sachin. He should not be allowed to officiate any match played by INDIA
