Some interesting facts about Tendulkar and Gavskar's 10000th run:
Gavaskar got his 10000th run by late-cutting Qasim Omar to THIRD-MAN. Tendulkar got his 10000th run by gliding Adul Razzak to THIRD-MAN (Same Area).
Gavaskar got his 10000th run against Pakistan. Tendulkar also same way.
Gavaskar got his feat at Ahmedabad (western end) Tendulkar gets his feat at Kolkata (eastern end) (Ahmedabad and Kolkata are the west-most and the east-most test centers respectively in India)

What an Acheivement, First Gavasker, Now Tendulkar. Also the fastest 10000 runs, thats another record.What a way to acheive it..... some facts that make this acheivement special. The record is made in India, in one of the most spectacular Eden Gardens, playing against Pakistan, India's arch Rivals. The most special moment is, Rahul Dravid was at the other end of crease when Sachin scored the 10000th run. Who else could Sachin ask for to run his 10000th run. Rahul has playing his 88th test also is on a record. He has never missed a test. Sachin couldnt have asked for a better partner, a prodigal partner.
