A respectful farewell to Omar Qureshi !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Mar 19, 2005 02:40 AM

His reflections and comments on cricketing matters filled me with immense thrill and satisfaction. His passing away will certainly deprive me and many others of an important link with cricket's rich tradition, history and lore. May the soul of the dear departed experience eternal bliss. Our prayerful wishes for strength and solace for all those he leaves behind. Thank you Sir Omar Qureshi for all your meaningful contribution through your writings.

Sadenned by Omar Kureishi's death
by Ms Zainub Razvi on Mar 14, 2005 10:40 PM

My sincere sympathies to his family, I'm really very sad my self too. Without Omar Kureishi's column Swinging Drives (for the Dawn) my Tuesday mornings will probably never be the same. OK will be thouroughly missed. I'd not say I always agreed with him, but I still liked him a lot, he was undoubtedly a legend, and a great insipiration for me and many others. Although he had strong views on a few things he was very honarable man on the whole. Someone I truely admired. May his soul rest in peace.
