Intikhab Alam's article is worth reading. I am in agreement with whatever he has said about Danish Kaneria, Anil Kumble, Subhash Gupte, etc.
However, he is wrong is suggesting that Shoaib Akhtar should be made the Vice Captain of the Pakistani team. Shoaib Akhtar is an egoistic and proud person, who relishes showmanship. He also has the uncanny ability of raising controveries, which have antagonised his team mates.
Shoaib Akhtar's biggest enemy is his big mouth. He just does not know when he should speak, what he should speak and when he should remain totally silent.
Shoaib Akhtar is very much an over-rated bowler and in no way can he be compared with his contemporaries like Glen McGrath, Jason Gillespie, Shaun Pollock, etc., etc.
