Changes in the format is most welcome. It would be more exciting and justice done to the hardfighting teams if instead of semifinals the two teams from each group advancing, play another roundrobin league to decide the finalists.

Kudos to Team India

It cant get worse than this. For the team which has been self proclaiming as the No:2 Team may not even get a berth in the Championship Trophy & rightly so.Its the only team which shows no signs of improvement. The so called superstars are all worried about their own individual records.Since the world cup 2003, India has won 11 out of 39 matches played against the Test playing Nations.Wat a performace!!! But still these guys have no shame.India is bound to play the qualifying round since no matter wat the result of NATWEST final may be bcoz England ll sit atleast with 106 points(107 if they win) at no:6 compared to India's 97.

New Champions Trophy format

The host nation should get automatic entry...may it be Australia or Bangladesh. Its absurd if the host nation is not competing. Think about all the revenue losses. FIFA always allows the host country to enter the tournament as a freebie and the rest of them have to compete in round robin.

The new format should also be based on FIFA's format. Host nation is in, rest should fight in round robin. With the current format, Australia will qualify even if the lose every ODI they play for the next several years. This is just not right.
