after reading the article i can cap it all by saying that how on an earth can people do this when it was gonna be an opportunity for raising funds. everyone knows people in asia needs help, but these dodgy people made this unforgettable event a mockery. i will also blame organisers that they left the auction until last minute. had they plan it a month ago it would definitely be a success. anyhow it's all gone now but shame on hoaxers and organisers.
I'm surprised at Mr. Admoni's frustration. What did he expect ? Does he believe that we live in an era where honor & integrity are practised consistently by one and all in every walk of life ? Hasn't he heard of SPAM ?? If he's managing that charity (Leonard Cheshire Foundation) with the same naivete that he displayed when he made this absurd statement ('I'm appalled that people could do this') then I would have serious concerns about contributing to it as long as he's the director. The fault is entirely his in that he failed to put in proper safeguards that would have ensured the authenticity of each incoming bid.
