Prince of Calcutta Man he is still alive!!!
by Pradeep Kumar on Jul 16, 2005 12:47 AM

Give him some breathing spaee and he will show you what he is in Cricket for those who think his almost 10000 odd runs are a fulke!!!

Team spirit after taking a heavy blow from the likes of Prabhakar and Nayan Mongia, it was Ganguly who instilled confidence and spirit in the team.

A lion can lead 100 sheeps but not the otherr way round!!! But only here the Tiger is leading a gang of Heavywights in Cricket!!!! (only to find the heavyweights not performing)

Have you guys seen him after a 75 or a 100. You see balls flying all round the stadium. He gets the last 50 odd runs in almost 35 deliveries average..

Man whatever you say the Brisbane Knock never goes from my sight... Who else do you think can hit bouderies like that from India!!!

And People want him out of Indian Team!!! Oh Indian Crowd is crazy about certain things. AND THIS iS CERTAINLY ONE!!!!

ganguly's form
by latheesh on Jul 15, 2005 07:04 PM

hello,
i too feel that ganguly will regain his lost glory,it's just a matter of time.many times in the past he faced this same problem,i don't thing this time it's too hard as before in 1992,when people said he is not at all fit to be a cricketer but he came back with a big bang and made his critics mouth shut.
he still has the fire in him and he will surely regain his lost glory.
i have only one thing to say for sourav's critics,'smile at misery but don't smile at peoples in misery'.
i have one question for everyone,'when sachin, dravid or shevag is not playing well we are analyising about there game but in the case of sourav we are criticizing about his game!'. why is this partiallty?.

please encourage him if itis not possible for you please stayaway, then that will be better.this not only suits sourav but everybody.

by one of the well wisher of sourav,

latheesh

I agree but..............................
by Rajesh Segu on Jul 15, 2005 06:37 PM

I agree that everyone has their bad era in any form of game they are.[Otherwise it would not have been called a game;-)]. I love no one better that Ganguly when he clears the fences of spinners especially. His sparkling shots offside has no words in the dictionary.

But nobody can stop accepting the fact that , ganguly is easily castled by the fast bowlers. His off-side play only is his strength as well as his weakness. Bowlers have found easy to out ganguly on many occassions. Hope ganguly changes his strategy a bit to get adjusted to this modern cricket.

Wish I see charming gangly back in the game.

Think of India and less of individual players
by JB on Jul 15, 2005 05:52 PM

It is important to see the performance of the players at the present. If someone is not performing well or is out of form it is important to leave the persons even if it is the captain. The approach to selection and management of the team in India is all constrained by so many nonsense factors like the fame of individial players etc. Look at the team management of Australia. They have kept out very famous and thoroughly performing players and still they have always been professionalistic in the game. When do we stop bragging about all the past glories of individuals and otherwise and start thinking of the performance in the present. Need of the hour is not hero worship but action in the present.
