I think Michael Vaughan was extremely stupid in bringing Solanki as substitute in place of the bowler Jones. He could have substituted Solanki for one of the dismissed batsman say Strauss or trescothik, who were anyway no longer needed to bowl. Ofcourse I doubt it would have affected the result of the match, though.
