Greatness is a virtue that is reflected in a person's walk. David Shepherd had that virtue. It is tough to imagine an umpire making such a difference to a game but when someone does the work with love and perfection, then they are deeply missed. The guy had a love for the game few other umpires(and players) have reflected. He made the gentleman's game look like one. Kudos to him and wishing him a good long life!
Shephie we will really miss you. The age is calling you hence it's better to quit when on top. There is always some bad moments as well as good and we have to take them in our stride.
