How about this. We feel terribly sorry for Sachin having to strain his tennis elbow, even throwing the ball from boundary lines and what not. So how about him donating $1 million from his now several billion dollar worth property. After all, many of the victims who died such a horrible death on that day were young cricket fans of his. With such a contribution, Sachin does not have to feel guilty even if he does not simply go and stand in the boundary line during the charity game. After all, collections are driven by star value of the games and Sachin might hurt gate collection if he decides to publicise his decision not to bat. Better yet, all our cricketers, who rake millions in non-cricketing activity, should donate a good chunk of their income to the tsunami victims. After all, who would watch Virender Sehwag on TV ads, had he not been a cricket star? Indian cricket fans have given so much to these guys, they should be doing a lot more than their Australian counterparts.
Ever cloud will have a silver lining. Even 2004 wasn't that much good for our run-machine, it made him a tougher man. So the hard time for bowlers once again started. We want to see him chasing all bowlers and records ofcourse and wish him a very very happy and fruitful new year.
Ofcourse he should take rest but if he is playing in the charity match its sure that he can make his own impression and raise funds beyond expectation.
You have shown your toughness by batting again after such a big injury. Hope to see you scoring your 35th hundred as soon as possible. You are the best
