M.S.Dhoni is a far better wicketkeeper and batsman than either D. Kartick or P.Patel (both masters in dropping regular takes for any international keeper). But why is Dhoni only considered for ODIs? Can such a thing ever happen in Australia?
I just want to know that what is the measure of selecting the players for any international match. The selction committee is considering the age factor or the perfomance of palyers in the international cricket.which factor is carrying more importance.
What is the importance of keping VVS Laxman in the side as he performance in the recent past days was very poor .. Kaif is in excellent form and he should continue in the team..

It is disheartening to note that Mohd.kaif is not in the Squad. It is very very unfortunate. In place of Laxman the Board should keep KAIF in the Middle order slot. He is such a class player and world class fielder.
Anyway I pray God that he will be called for the Second Test.
The same bad politics played by selector & proved their envy against Mumbai's player,only Sachin get place (not because of selectors & captain but on his goodwill & play only )in team but what is about Ajit Agarkar,Wasim Jafar who proved well before this? It was already proved that sombody paly important role behind carier of agarkar for Nehra ?
this is the healthy copmetition between the players.there is much competition between so many yavaraj and kaif in batting, parthiv,dhoni and karthik in keeping and finally bowling between so many players.it is a bit tough task to the indian selectors . but it is benefit for future.
