Please clip the wings of Mr More!!
by Sujoy Palit on Dec 27, 2005 04:39 PM

Is Mr More, Chief selector going beyond his brief? We cricket fans of the country have the right to know his briefs and jurisdiction. He is seeking explanation from Ganguly as if he is the CEO of BCCI.Has he obliged Ganguly by selecting him into the team for Pakistan? If playing in the Surat Ranji Trophy Match was mandatory then he ought to have passed on necessary official instructions to Ganguly while declaring the team on 24.12.05 itself. Please stop pressurising Ganguly and let him perform. If he does not perform he will perish.None except the media manager should talk to the press. We are becoming a laughing stock before the International community by acts and deeds of Cricketing managers of our country.BCCI bosses please wake up before it is too late.

why only Ganguly?
by dpa on Dec 27, 2005 12:24 PM

If Mr. More actually follows the Ranji matches, he will know that it is not only Ganguly but other players ranging from the lowlies (Agarkar, Parthiv Patel, Yuvraj) to the lordlies (Kumble, Bundelkar, Dravid) who are not playing in the Ranji Trophy. Is Ganguly lower even than Parthiv, that only he should attract a scolding.

Saurav Ganguly

Dear Sir,

I think BCCI or some of the members of Selection Committe are hell bent on putting down Ganguly. Why is Ganguly being subjected to such a shabby treatment.

Does Kiran More think he is BCCI himself. Ganguly should be treated with respect for whatever he has done to build up the team. No matter how arrogant he is but this is what we need in the game -you name it arrogance I call it aggression.

Ganguly as a Selector
by A.H. Venkatachalam on Dec 27, 2005 07:57 AM

More, Gregg and Co., have been blowing hot and cold with reference to Ganguly and gauging the mood of the Indian public, waiting for a suitable opportunity to get rid of him from the team permanently. Ganguly is being unnecessarily harassed. One way to prevent this from happening to suggest to BCCI to select Ganguly as Chairman of the Selection Committee by virtue of his vast and past experience as the leader of the team and as an experienced player. More & Co., will then come to their senses.

BCCI not to intervene on ganguly

The people watching this un called controversy and the uncalled behaviour of the players and slector is just to exhibit the one up ego. When our people when reaching at top can remain equipoised is simply impossible when they have staunch supporter of adament character their call becomes more authoritative to explain that they are publicly affronting living legend and enjoying seesaw levelling.May god grant wisdom to keep the game in spirit.

More is being vindictive
by Dr Anil J. Jaiswal on Dec 26, 2005 05:15 PM

Kiran More's attitude makes it clear that he is not using cricketing form or logic - neither in first removing Ganguly nor in asking Ganguly to appear in Surat for a Ranji tie with a day to reach from Kolkata. These sort of utterances make it clear that he threw out Ganguly for his personal dislike of the person(Ganguly) and now resents being forced to take him back.He seems to have become power-drunk as the Chaiman of the selection committe.Such people are immature and it is they who should be removed immediately.

It is not understood why so much of publicity is given to Ganguly who has already shown his back door enter capabailities.

Even though Murali and Balaji have shown their worth they are not given any importance.

Even though Agarkar he a record holder of maximum number of zeros he has nothing to worry as he is a previledged player. So is Gambir.

Only the best ones like Kaif, Uvaraj singh, VVS Lakshman are struggling hard for a survival but they are definitely much better than Ganguly and Agarkar.

Patan and Dhoni, HATS OFF TO THEM. At the moment they are no doubt the best.

Tendulkar is totally unpredictable and since he has made his record he may not bother or concentrate on his batting.

These are only my views and not to hurt anyone.

Cricket is at its lowest ebb at the selections.

As I have already said earlier there are some previledged states who need not be worry at all on their performances as they are sure to be selected on the merit of the state while some other states are definitely in deep worries inspite of their talents and capabilities.

Sorry sir,

GSViswanathan.
