What's all this guys..?..?..?
by A. K. Gurung on Jan 21, 2006 09:49 PM

Hey guys!

I just don't understand why you guys are talking about his farewell, deserve to play for 2 more years, did this.... did that and so on... Well, I think he deserve to be in the team as much as he like because he is one of the best player in the team. Well, there was some problem in between with the coach.... but this doesn't mean that he should be treated like this. If there's any problem then the problems can be sorted out and I think, there's no problem to discuss to the problem that they have. And we should judge the player by the performance that he delivered on ground and not by what he did off ground. Though Off ground activity does matter but that can be sorted out with mutual understanding or discussion. Currently, he needs more games and time to adjust to the current position. I am sure that he will deliver his best during the coming season.

halo

i m completely disagree with ur article, i think sourav is capable to be in the team for next 2-3 years, and he is deserving it.
it is to early to talk abt his farewell.
but i think for the the team and coach should support him, which is not looking good.

Are you out of minds?

It is so pathetic to talk about Saurav Ganguly in such a manner as I see in this message board. Judge him by what he has produced for India. Ask yourselves what did Sachin Tendulkar do for India? Just bat!!! Has he done anything to create a atmosphere where young guns have prospered? That is why people like Saurav and Imran Khan are winners, versus people like Sachin Tendulkar. Not to take away from Sachin's achievements, but he was a poor leader and a captain.

Whether Saurav has another 2 or 3 years of cricket will be known on how he performs in Pakistan, but I tell you don't count the man out. He is a winner and he will roar back.

For God's sake, have respect for your heroes. He has neither been involved in match-fixing, nor in favouritism, nor incompetence. His tenure as a captain has only allowed Team India to play cricket rather than focus on who has the best statistics. It was pathetic to see Sachin quibble that he couldn't complete his double century before the declaration. Come on, Sachin grow up and play for Team India.

Sauruv has his negatives, but he has been unselfish with his attitude to the cause of Team India.

Thanks.

SG deserves laudable farewell

You're right Mr.Lokesh, but what do you do if the guest refuses to leave even after making it clear to him, that we are done with him?

He claims that he has another 2/3 years (obviously keeping the world cup in mind) to go? Whom is he trying to kid? Infact, he was on borrowed time (from Mr.Dalmiya) since last 15 months!

SG deserves laudible farewell

The article is well written and has to commended. The contributor is right in saying that SG deserveslaudable farewel but this has to be understood by SG himself and he should in all fairness retire from the game to put all controversies to rest.
