I really pity Ganguly. He is a great person. As coorectly said by former captain really there are bunch of Jokers in the selection committee. I am one of the big fan of Ganguly and it will be pretty sad that I cannot see his batting once more.. Very sad ending to great person ..
I would like to ask the viewers a question. there is no question that ganguly is past his prime. scoring 15000 or so runs is history. you cannot select players on that. He is a middle order bat and frankly there is no place for him in the present middle order. the only person who can be dropped is yuvraj which is not fair. If ganguly would have offered to open which I am sure he did not then he could have been in the team. say even if he was in the third test and scored similar 40 runs then you could bring the same argument and have to take him to pakistan. actually being in the team and not playing is more disgrace. so this is not a bad way to solve this issue
Prem, can you confirm if Saurav Ganguly is the holder of the highest number of sixes per innings played by any international player to date? I have seen several players'record, including Gilchrist, Jayasuriya, Sehwag, none of them is even at 0,45 per innings, Saurav is at 0,62 sixes per innings played.
I am rajesh frm Rajasthan. I heard yesterday about the ommision of our previous & the most succesful captain of indian cricket. So, i am very much annoyed with our selection committee who removed ganguly frm the team for the next test match with srilanka after his good performances in the second test. A senior player should not be treated so disastreously which is humiliating for him,his family,his dearest cricket fans and for the entire country. I am not at all interested in this decision and i am in favour of including him in the next test match squad for all reasons. thats i want to say. ok bye. So, pls do the above if possible. ok bye.
i want to know what the hell was done on sourav's part?his selection in the team appeared to be just a thing to calm his viewers.why such a big game on him?
first of all i will like to say what a fine example loksabha is setting to have discussion on saurav exclusion (saurav is bigger than game and nation problem).Our netas donot find any time to discuss on nation problem but o single person, they would have set a nice example on having discussion on sports in india rather than discussion on saurav gandhi..once again shame to our so called neta.
secondly any one could have noticed how saurav was playing. Infact he was playing for himself rather than team (on second test and second inning saurav played so slow that actually he was playing to srilanka music had he was there for another one hour one would have wondered what a pressure he would have created.
Thirdly saurav got out to his fault of playing away from the body and not to the brilliance of srilanka bowling.
I have to ask whether kapil dev should be removed from his captaincy during his playing days, should sunil gavaskar be removed from indian team for his contribution to criket, should k srikanth be removed from team, why and on basis javagal srinath left criket.
There are many much question that has to be answered by saurav supporters.
No Indian should be treated as done for Ganguly. Question is not about his inclusion or exclusion, it's about the way behaving with A Real Hero of India who has scored 15,000 runs for country, and given INDIA WC Cup Runners up, winning in Pakistan, Natwest win, exciting Australia tour, Overseas win after 18 yrs. I will see next few captains, but pray for them that they will not be treated like this even they are giving 10% of this.
