CRICKET
by SHYAMAL on Dec 16, 2005 11:33 PM

If Mr. Dungarpur comments is true, it means Mr. Power ,President of BCCI has given consent with full knowledge.
As a cricket lover, I want politician should concentrate for the progress of the country, for the welfare of country, but under any circumstances great politician like Mr. Power should not entangle with any top official position of any games.
What a fate today, we have, the gentleman who wanted to be prime minister of India is happy with a cricket post.
In my opinion some people is encashing political strength of Mr Power who has served the country as a great political leader and defaming Mr. power for their petty interest.Think the comment of Mr. power on TV and the comment published by Mr. Dungarpur upon exit of Sourav Ganguly. Mr Power should take corrective steps otherwise political charishma will be vanished .

It's High Time that Parliament Dwells on Important Issues Affecting Nation rather on issue of such nature.U have appointed Selectors Why can't U ALLOW them to funtion to assess as to what is correct for the game.Who is that Parlimentarian who has played Cricket at International, who is that who has got skill to assess the players.
If we donot allow the Selctors to have that Dicretion,we are going to SLIP in our Performance. In any case Change is a MUST.

sacking of ganguly
by drrkvarma on Dec 16, 2005 09:19 PM

The decision to sack Sourav inspite of his good perfomance against SriLanka is highly improper &needs to be reversed .Gaguly should be reinstated forthwith in the ensuing test match.

Axing of Ganguly
by Pradeep on Dec 16, 2005 06:45 PM

Well this has been the most immature and ridiculous
decision of the selectors ever since stripping
Sunny Gavasakar as Indian captain.Sourav had done
quite well in a low scoring match and has been a
key element in India winning this match. So clearly
speaking selectors cannot be forgiven for this brash
act
