Ganguly

We Indians have developed a habit to elevate Cricketers to Stardom and on the very next day we do not mind dumping them in a humiliating manner. This must stop because either of these actions do no good to Cricket or to the Cricketers either.

I do not agree with the manner in which Ganguly has been and is being humiliated.

dropping of ganguly

Ganguly may be a brilliant player when in touch but he has always had a problem with his attitude.

He is not in touch any longer and looks jaded and pathetic and inelegant while playing.

He has been brought up to have a great opinion about himself and while his touch lasted it may have served him well.

Cricketing riches may have been bundled in his off drives but he just happened to lead a team of such wonderfull talent that they fired on most occassions.

The awe inspiring victory over Nasser Hussain's team where ganguly let his shirt do the talking instead of his bat was the brilliance of Kaif and Yuvraj that saw India through.

He has piggybacked on the Dalmiya patronage for too long and needs to now step down. The more gracefully the better. The sooner the better

Misuse and Tampering on Internet by Ganguly Supporters.
by Sharad Korde, Thane on Dec 29, 2005 04:46 PM

As of today there are more than 2000 comments on the question, âWas it right to drop Ganguly?â almost all of which are in favor of Ganguly. This is within a span of 10 to 15 days! During this period postings in response to other questions on the message board had almost stopped. This flooding of one-sided messages on Ganguly issue looks like a big morcha (in favor of Ganguly) and rasta roko (for other postings), internet style, arranged by Ganguly supporters. The facility to Contact the editor is also missing for (only) Ganguly question. It is there for all other questions. This appears to have been managed by the Ganguly lobbyists to suppress all the complaints from non-supporters for not publishing their messages and protests against misuse of message board for lobbying. It amounts to sheer tampering and cannot be done without active cooperation of an insider. Ganguly supporters must be having their man among the rediff staff.

about decession on droping Sourav Ganguly
by Hidden on Dec 26, 2005 10:28 AM

Though he is good player he is not performing for at least two years for now.

the past doesn't help in present. he played good cricket in past bu that doesn't mean he should be in team even when he is not playing well in international cricket.

Scoring runs below 10 doesn't help that too for every time

Artici Tools.
by Sharad Korde, Thane on Dec 25, 2005 10:51 AM

For all the subjects under "Message Board" the "Article Tools" contain "Contact the Editor". Why isn't it there for this subject? It also appears that while excessive postings appear for this subject the postings on other subjects have already been stopped. I suspect there is excessive lobbying for Ganguly.
