The selectors were absolutely justified in sacking him from the test squad

not the way to treat ganguly
by ramesh on Jan 25, 2006 08:55 PM

there may be 1000 reason for taking him from the captainship, i could also be right. but when we consider him as a individual player, he has his own records for india in odi as well as in test matches. sand you should npt compare him with any other new comers like yuvraj and any others. being in indian team is difficult but being with consistency more than decade is an achievement. so his records and his ability are always to be consider. please make india proud and make ganguly to play for india in his own position. and never corner him.

Ganguly

India do not require a skipper who feels insecured for the post just because Ganguly is there in the squad. He is making sure that the southpaw does not get a chance to cement his place as his captaincy is proven whereas Dravid has a lot to do before he is accepted as a true leader.
Ganguly is better suited for one dayers so he is not there, he is now showing his old form and daring to make a come back so he should not be in the Test 11 also - simple - that is called the properties of a wall - to absorb all threats.
Good luck to you skipper.
Hard Luck Saurabh - you remain our best skipper - ever.

outfall of his own acts

I beg to differ on the view. AS per my observations Ganguly appeared very arrogant when his form began to decline. This is quite evident from the fact that tendulkar and sehwag also went through the bad patch during the same period but no one made any hue and cry about that.
